Fix click-here link text
Link text like click here does not say where the link goes when it is read out of context.
A list of links becomes a list of identical, useless phrases.
Steps
- Search the theme for click here, read more and learn more.
- Rewrite the link so it names the destination.
- Keep the same words if you also set an accessible name.
Failing example
A link that says click here.
Better example
A link that says Postage and returns.
Shopify
In Shopify pages and theme sections, replace Click here and Shop now that have no nearby product name inside the link. Name the collection or the page.
WooCommerce
In WooCommerce content and banners, change click here to the product or policy name.
WordPress
In WordPress paragraphs and buttons, replace click here with the name of the target page.
Wix
In Wix, edit the button label so it names the page it opens, not Click here. Say what the page is.
