Disclaimer

This is general information, not legal advice.

An AltGrade report is a technical record of what an automated scan found on the pages it could open. Read this page once so you know what that record is for.

What the scanner can see

The scanner opens public pages in a headless browser at desktop and mobile widths, runs the axe-core rule set, and adds checks for page language, vague link text, weak alt text, focus visibility and whether the keyboard can reach the menu. That finds a useful share of barriers on a shop. It does not sit with a screen reader through a whole checkout, and it does not judge whether the writing makes sense.

Automated scans cannot catch every WCAG issue. Commission a manual review when you need a person to make those judgements. The manual review is arranged separately and is not sold as a certificate.

Law

Pages about the European Accessibility Act and the ADA explain public sources and the engineering work a shop can do. They are not advice about your company, your customers, or a letter you have received. Take that to a qualified adviser. A scan is not a prediction about legal risk and not a reply to a demand letter.

Questions

Where is the full limit stated on a report?

On the report itself, once. Marketing pages do not repeat the same banner. The report is the record you share with a developer.

Do you sell an overlay?

No. Fixes are changes in the theme, the product data, or the content.
