Fix form errors with no text
An error that is only a red outline is invisible to many people.
They cannot tell which field failed.
Steps
- Submit an empty form.
- Read the error.
- It should name the field and the problem.
Failing example
The field turns red and nothing is written.
Better example
The message says Enter an email address.
Shopify
Custom Shopify forms need a text error. Do not hide Shopify Checkout errors.
WooCommerce
Keep the WooCommerce error list visible.
WordPress
Show the WordPress form plugin's error text.
Wix
Enable text errors on Wix fields.
