Fix broken ARIA references
A reference to a missing id leaves the control with no name or the wrong description.
The field is announced as blank.
Steps
- Search for aria-labelledby and aria-describedby.
- Confirm each id exists once.
- Prefer a visible label.
Failing example
aria-labelledby points at an id that was deleted.
Better example
The attribute points at the visible label id.
Shopify
When you edit a Shopify section, update ARIA ids in the same edit. Do not leave a labelledby pointing at a removed node.
WooCommerce
Fix copied WooCommerce snippets whose describedby id does not exist.
WordPress
In WordPress custom HTML, match the ids.
Wix
In Wix custom code, point ARIA attributes at real ids.
